THE WORST PEOPLE TO SERVE ARE THE POOR... SEE WHY

The worst people to serve are the poor people.

Give them free, they think it's a trap.

Tell them it's a small investment, they'll say it can't earn much.

Tell them to come in big, they'll say - no money.

Tell them to try new things, they'll say - no experience.

Tell them it's a traditional business, they'll say it's hard to do.

Tell them it's a new business model, they'll say it's MLM (Multi-level Marketing).

Tell them to run a shop, they'll say - no freedom.

Tell them to run a new business, they'll say - no expertise.

They do have some things in common;
 - They love to ask Google,
 - Listen to friends who are as hopeless as them,
 - They think more than a university professor and do less than a blind man,
 - Just ask them what can they do? They won't be able to answer you.

My Conclusion:
Instead of your heart beats faster, why not just act a bit faster,
Instead of just thinking about it, why not do something about it.

Poor people fail because of one common behavior -
THEIR WHOLE LIFE IS ABOUT WAITING.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN SOMEONE HURTS YOU?

Two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face.
The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him.
After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?”
The other friend replied “When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.”
There is no gain in grudges, neither is there any benefit in having grievances; however, blessed are you when you learn to forgive even before being offended. LET IT GO.

LIFE'S MOST INTERESTING QUESTION AND ANSWER (WITH VIDEO)

He could not locate the exact address of our meeting point for a scheduled appointment, neither was he with his phone whereby he could have called somebody for precise description. When I got home, checking through Facebook, he was online and there, gave his reasons for the absence but the point at which my heart was pierced was when he told me why he wasn't with his phone to have called, which was due to a low battery after chatting up till 2:00am and forgetting to charge back before sleeping off. More notably, he did not wake up until 12:30pm (Over 10 hours of sleep) and our appointment was 1:00pm that day.
Apart from the fact that I hate such sleeping habits, it is one of the clearest traits of lacking a sense of purpose. We continued our chat and he said, he was even better off now, because while he was yet without job, he sleeps for 13-14 hours. OMG! A father of 3! He claimed further that he had nothing doing but either browsing the internet (Facebook especially) or he's sleeping. And I told him "there are many things you could do to add value to life aside these two things which apparently does not help you nor people around you".
And he asked "LIKE WHAT?"

The Social Media is actually good but can be very destructive as well; you may be enjoying the chats, the posts, likes and all such but that is not what you are just meant to be doing nor what you were created to achieve. You are not just meant to connect with friends through Social Media but through God (according to His will for your life). This is not about your religion, it is about understanding THE TRUTH!
WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?

NIGERIA IS THE DEADLIEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD

In a list of 141 nations across the globe, Nigeria has been ranked the number one deadliest (unsafe) country you can be at the moment. This was according to the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report of the World Economic Forum, released on Friday, 14th October 2016.

Though, only 141 economies were covered, which was excluding Iraq and Syria. However, I wondered what could make Nigeria so unsecure to be ranked first in the list, even ahead of Pakistan, Colombia, Yemen, Egypt, Lebanon and the likes.
In all of the 14 Pillars composing the Travel and Tourism competitiveness Index which were considered, Nigeria is not anywhere near pass mark the rankings except for her Cultural Resources & Business Travel recognition, ranked 57th in the world and 5th in Africa. Other Pillars such as Human Resources and Labour Market, Infrastructures, International Openness, Business Environment and others are nothing to write about. Even our growing ICT readiness could not get to the top 100 in the list among 141 nations.
The question is this? WHAT MAKES NIGERIA SO UNSECURE?
Is it just about the abductions, the killings, and bombings or there is more to it?

WHY YOU HAVE TO STOP WRITING THIS WAY...

At a time, I don’t respond to anyone who initiates a chat with me using “sup”; I somehow get irritated and sometimes I speak my mind about it with whoever did so… then this happened…

Few days ago, I was to respond to an official mail at work and ignorantly, I had already typed the word “PLEASE” as “PLS” but thank God for the grammar correction app on my system, I immediately noticed the error and that prompted me to do my long intended write up on the topic. Nevertheless, just as it happened to me, it is happening with many others outside there, young and old, at work, at schools, in exams, interviews and so on, where you habitually use unofficial abbreviations where inappropriate.

And then I looked to see, searching through the internet, how many dignified and professional people write public notes and posts using these shorthand forms? Across the globe, in different sectors; political, business, religion, sports, movie, and so on, I couldn’t find one except one who does it occasionally for comedy act.

This unruly act is causing more harm than good to us in this generation. As it becomes a habit, it synchronizes to your mental system of operation and before you know it, you can no longer spell the simplest words again; whereas, you think this makes you intelligent and helps you maximize time, knowing not that it rather makes you less intelligent and unprofessional.

I have higher concern for those who write public posts on the internet with it. It doesn’t anyway help your communication, especially when you have different nationalities in your target audience who cannot understand your ‘local’ shorthand writings. What then is the essence of communication if in the end, there is no or little understanding. Even if you're only having local people in your connections, you should act international. Also, needful to stress that some standard professional organizations, go as far as checking social media profiles in recruitment and evaluation process to check for what is called Social Media Credibility. What becomes of you if all your public posts seem to be like the “handwriting on the wall” when they look into your profile? I guess the suitable answer to that would be “My Lord, only thou knowest”.

Anyways, these are just a few points I could write about from the various reasons why you have to stop the habit of public shorthand writings. A word is enough for the wise...to REPENT!

THE CHOICE OF DESTINY

"Martin Luther King Jr.'s father disciplined him with severe beatings. Abraham Lincoln was so estranged from his father that he did not invite his family to his wedding. He refused to visit his dying father or to attend his funeral. Mahatma Gandhi loved his mother but felt he was partially responsible for his father's death. Queen Elizabeth I's father, Henry VIII, had her mother, Anne Boleyn, beheaded on charges of adultery. Alexander the Great's father was assassinated while Alexander was a young man. Some historians speculate it was Alexander's mother who may have orchestrated the murder. John F. Kennedy had to compete with his brothers to win the approval of his highly ambitious father. Bill Clinton lost his father as an infant and then lived the next three years with his grandparents. Clinton's mother eventually married a man known for his alcoholism, gambling, and unfaithfulness. When his parents' marriage ended in divorce, Clinton had to testify in court concerning the abuse his mother suffered at the hands of his stepfather. It was in such a home that Bill Clinton was prepared for the presidency of the United States." (Curled from "Spiritual Leadership" by Henry & Richard Blackaby)

What am I trying to say? To all of these world famous leaders, though raised in homes where fear for their own safety was a constant reality, they have beaten the odds and chose to be motivated by this unfair background to gain power, as a way of controlling their environment and escape the feelings of insecurity. I know there are few of such leaders in Nigeria and as well, Africa, with the likes of President Olusegun Obasanjo, Nelson Mandela, Pastor E.A Adeboye, and Robert Mugabe just to mention a few popular names, who went through such "pitiful and hopeless" situations but, went ahead to break grounds of limitation, and rising to influence at different levels. It is a proven fact that whether good or bad, there's no escaping the influence of the childhood home in the shaping of a leader.
Clearly, people's life experiences can greatly affect the kind of leaders they become. Whereas, the influence of a leader's childhood home cannot be underrated as a major factor in leadership development. While some great leaders grew up in wholesome, supportive environments, many did not. Therefore, no situation is ever a reproach to becoming who you were originally meant to be.

WHAT PRESIDENT OBASANJO SAID ABOUT US

Over 10 million children of school age are out of schools WITH NO KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS. Zuriel Oduwole started making money with her potentials since the age of 8; Asia Newson the "super business girl" of Detroit had become an SME owner at the age of 6; Elizabeth Babalola "little lizzy" started earning with her gift while she was yet 10... They were not even a teen, neither qualified to be called youths nor adults. But about 50% of the unemployed Nigerians are youths.
No one is too young to make money the right way, even with the right motive, if only they knew or had discovered how. But today, many young students are already out of schools while many are yet struggling to keep to schools, while others there are coming out struggling.
This is why Grace & Glory Foundation is again setting out to Imo state, to a community where the teens and youths are struggling for sustenance, where education is almost as without empowerment. We are on a mission for empowerment; for self-discovery; for encouragement; a mission to give hope to a whole community.
President Olusegun Obasanjo once said, "Youths constitute Nigeria's only hope for a real future". Let us, therefore, join hands to keep that only hope (youths) alive. One shall conquer a thousand and Two, ten thousand.

I DECIDED TO SLEEP IN THE TURBULENCE

A few days ago, I had a flight to catch but the experience before the flight is worth sharing. I was to get my ticket at the airport with the airline in which I am to travel but getting there, I was shocked to be told the ticket price had risen by 26% of my known price. I wasn't with much cash but after much deliberations and actions, I decided to go pay after about 15 minutes but, again I was informed, the price had risen by 98% of the initial price but, still available at the 26% rise if I choose to travel the next day with the first flight and I agreed as the trip was mandatory for me and my company wouldn't listen to my excuse for reasons I'm aware of. In just a few minutes, my ticket was booked but I could not go back home to save the cost of transportation as my home was far to the airport. As God would have it, I got helped with feeding through a police officer to whom I explained my situation.
That was not the real deal. After eating, I was feeling a need to have myself checked with the immigration and I proceeded to the office. Getting there, scanned through, I was told I'm having a fine to pay for having broken a law. My fine was just about 5% lesser than my ticket price. I laughed it off the face of the officer as I told myself, "when tomorrow comes, it will sort itself". I worried less because I couldn't even think of begging around to raise such amount of money, no, no, no; it's not an option.
Exactly 5:15 am, I proceeded for my check-in and after just about 15mins, I was faced with my final clearance with immigration. There the ma'am told me also, "sorry you have fine; please go and pay at the counter and come back for your stamp". As I walked the stairs down, I remembered, "they looked unto Him and were lightened, and their faces were not ashamed". Immediately, I wasn't running helter-skelter, I rather decided to get a good breakfast and God again used an officer who had seen me all through the night for the supply. After taking the breakfast, I just moved to the center hall and I looked around and I was led to enter an office tagged "Public Relations" and I met just two people in the big office. As I explained my case, three others came in (I believe God ordered them in) and they all listened to my story. While I was yet speaking, they just communicated in their native language and I just saw them taking out their purses and contributed equally among themselves, the amount I needed and even a little beyond.
Many times, just like Martha in John 11, we try to hinder God's blessings through our worries and murmurings. Like I would always say, almost every churchgoer knows every scripture the pastor quotes; the difference between them is that the pastor is practically living by the word while the churchgoer is only theoretically reading the word. It is not a joke or mere words when the Lord said, "WORRY FOR NOTHING..." Phil 4:6
