SCHOOL OF THOUGHT PT. 1

Have you been to a public school recently? If you haven't, I advise you visit one as soon as you can.

I am not born in the 60s or 70s neither did I pass through any public school as a student but I am not without knowledge of its standards in those days up to the 90s. In fact, all of my siblings are products of different public schools and if you know any, you'll know I'm proud of them. However, I feel always shattered when I see students of today's public schools in Nigeria; lacking discipline, self-esteem, confidence and integrity, above all, not competitively brilliant. I then wonder what has gone wrong today? Back in the days of our parents and even the elderly ones of our generation, we learnt and witnessed public schools winning competitions. I remember vividly, the year I was in for Cowbell National Mathematics Competition, a public school won the competition and two others in the top 10 winners list.
Today, it's a different story. The schools are getting empty yearly and the ones that seem filled, are mostly attended by those who could not afford the increasing high rates of the private schools and as a result, are almost treated as though they have no future. Oh my Nigeria, when will thou wake up from thy slumber and become the giant you really were.
Just in the UAE, by government public schools are not generally open to non-Emirati students except for a few private schools which offer a UAE Ministry of Education curriculum while in England, 90% of the English pupils are in state schools according to a recent survey. According to the National Centre for Education Statistics in the United States, total expenditures for public elementary and secondary schools amounted to $620 billion in 2012-2013 and it's no doubt, it's results are evident unlike my Nigeria where N369.6 billion was budgeted for the education and after six months, I am left asking, what is happening to our Education Sector?
To be continued...

MORE THAN JUST A COMEDIAN

"No one suddenly made it; success is a process without recess". (One of my unpublished quotes)

When I saw this Instagram post uploaded on Saturday, I was wowed! Though I had known this man to be be lover of books, a staunch book addict, an astute learner whom I have been covertly learning from for over a year now but I never knew him to this point. When you see people like this own a mansion in Lekki, have luxury of cars and trucks, travel every now and then, within and outside the country, tour Europe as though they are touring a local state, organise shows and bill N10m for a table for 10, you always wonder, 'ki lo le to yen'; 'wetin dem one do sef' as if you can also do the same or do it better, you don't stop claiming, what's so special about what they do and all sorts.
Hmmm... I tell you, you'll never know how hard it is to go up high until you attempt an high jump. Behind the camera in the picture upload (in case you don't know), is a side view of the library of the renowned king of Nigeria comedy, Mr. Atunyota Alleluya Akporobomerere, popularly known by his stage name, Ali Baba. Now you are already saying... Ki lo le to yen, e pass comedy? YES! E pass comedy o, that's why you don't have to die of ignorance cos what you know can't kill you if you're wise, only what you don't know can kill you even if you're wise. This bros is more than a comedian, as a university graduate, He's also a Professional photographer, MC, Writer, Conference and Motivational Speaker, Artist, Artiste and Business man. In fact, seeing him appear as one of the speakers of The Platform Nigeria earlier this year increased my respect for him... Now you see what I'm talking about, you see why he needs such a large library, now you see why he'such a special class in the entertainment industry, HE IS MORE THAN JUST A COMEDIAN.

Don't just see things with your two eyes but see things with your four eyes (eyesight, insight, foresight and hindsight) before you judge or comment about them. Nobody just suddenly made it, they have surely paid the price for success without your notice.
Just like Ali Baba, respect to all hardworking men and ladies out there, God will surely reward all in due time, if only you don't give up.

MEET THE MAN WHO WANTED TO PROTECT HIS FAMILY WITHOUT A WEAPON

MEET THE MAN WHO WANTED TO PROTECT HIS FAMILY BUT HAVE NO WEAPON
Last week I met this wonderful couple and they invited me to join them in worshipping at a non-garmented doctrinal church, though they also belonged to another white-garment setting but due to environmental circumstance, they had no choice but to worship in a different setting. The husband was very hardworking, one who loved the wife dearly, tries so much to make his family comfortable, he was indeed, a good man to meet, hence, I was happy to accept the invitation.

Getting to church to next day,I saw he was quite zealous and prayerful but I discovered that he had no Bible of his own nor was he with a notepad but was just listening to all. Then I remembered the previous day, while we were having a gist, he made a claim, "Bro, I have more than 60 garments at home 'cos my mum is a tailor and she sows them for me regularly. My kids are even worse, they have countless of it"... BUT HE HAD NO BIBLE! Not even un his phone. What then is the essence of the garments? Can you be called a farmer without having a farming tool? What then is the essence of Christianity today without the word of God?

I have seen in my own Bible, where it is written, Luke 22 : 36
36b, "and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."
and whatever is written is already written and cannot be changed. Or do you not know already that the sword of the Spirit is the Word of the Spirit?
Though this man really loves his family, wants the very best for them, doing his best to achieve that but even the right things must be done the right way to get desired result... In all your getting, get UNDERSTANDING!

Comments and Questions are welcomed... Shalom

THE COMMON CHURCH TREND

HMMM... I AM IN THE SPIRIT!!!

"I am in the spirit; He's in the Spirit; She's in the Spirit..."
This has become a common statement in the church and many other religious centers today. Pastors will say, "Brethren, I am in the Spirit and I urge to you to also be in the Spirit"; the praise/worship leader will also say this; in meetings and other solemn gatherings, you hear the words frequently. Probably, the same was told to the lady I posted in my Instagram page few days ago, who seem to be taking a selfie in the spirit.
This words is especially common to people who are closer to mounting the pulpit, you hear the words from there when they seem to be ministering, displaying some sort of gymnastics before their audience (permit me to use that), something like the sample picture above, but does all this really define BEING IN THE SPIRIT?
See what I caught yesterday, hence willing to share... Romans 9:5 - "You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, IF IN FACT, the Spirit of God DWELLS in you..."
Therefore, be not deceived neither deceive yourself or anyone; it is not a show of environmental solemnity or spiritual gymnastics, it is a thing of spiritual sincerity to God and to yourself... IS THE SPIRIT IF GOD "DWELLING" IN YOU?
